A little history...

Started in May 2012, the construction of the Mons Conference Center was achieved in two and a half years. The aim was to provide the city with a multifonctional business centre that would live up to its ambitions, with the cultural event "Mons 2015" as a focal point.

The building was designed by the internationally renowned American architect: Daniel Libeskind.

He is responsible for producing the Jewish Museum in Berlin, the layout of the new World Trade Center in New York and the development of the "City Life Masterplan" in Milan.

According to its author, the Conference Centre has been designed to be a new architectural landmark in the city, a link between the old and the new, a key element in the economic dynamics of the district.

And it must be said that it fulfils this role perfectly!

The complex formed by the belfry, the future station designed by Santiago Calatrava and the Conference Centre is truly unique in Wallonia.

Located in the immediate vicinity of the historic centre , very close to the E19-E42 motorway and opposite the train station, the 6,500 m2 of modular spaces of the WCCM constitute a remarkable tool for the economic development of Mons and its region.

B2B events:
The Palais des Congrès de MONS is the ideal venue for meetings, seminars, trade fairs and networking events. We operate as a full-fledged events agency, offering turnkey solutions to companies in exclusive partnership with local service providers. Our 100% ‘Made in MONS’ approach guarantees optimum organisation for all types of event.

Made in Palais des Congrès’ events:
We create and organise our own events. We also invite the people of MONS to become EXPERTS of the Palais des Congrès de Mons. Thanks to this collaborative approach, they can put their skills and ideas to good use at events co-produced with our team, offering a win-win situation. Not only do they occupy our space, but we also contribute to the success of their event. Preferential rates are offered to local companies and associations to support the development of tourism in Mons through B2B events.

Development of conferences:
Our ambition is to make the Palais des Congrès de Mons a benchmark for conferences, covering a wide range of topics such as people, new technologies, health, and much more. We invite speakers, some of them internationally renowned, to debate and share their knowledge. Our aim is to build a rich and diverse programme, positioning our venue as a key player in the field of face-to-face conferences.

WCCM audiences

While it is customary to argue that a business woman or a business man spends an average of €250 per day on business trips (excluding the cost of attending the event itself), it is only natural to pay particular attention to this sector.

Nevertheless, this is not the only audience that the WCCM wishes to attract.

In fact, its wish is to open its doors to everything that the region has as its driving force, whether this is to organise professional or private events.

Therefore, at the heart of the building, there are 3 auditoriums, fully equipped, that can accommodate from 100 to 500 people. They are equipped with simultaneous translation booths, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and multimedia desks for speaker comfort.

The spacious seats offer a desk and an electrical outlet for each member of the audience.

In addition, the infrastructure has 3 multi-purpose and versatile rooms.

("Atrium", "Flex room" and "Forum") which can accommodate up to 1,500 people at the same time. These particularly airy spaces, which take advantage of the outside light, are ideal for receptions, dinners, cocktails, fairs, exhibitions, etc.

Finally, 12 "sub-committee" spaces (from 10 to 50 people) are particularly suitable for working meetings (AGMs, board of director meetings, boards, etc.), thematic workshops or even small committees.

A business centre and co-working facilities complete these first-class amenities.
